Fab Market Finds

The other day after I picked Dylan up from school, we stopped by this little stall where they were selling those little jade charms.  These are supposed to bring you luck if you have them with you all the time.  Of course you have to pick the correct animal according to your Chinese Zodiac.  In my case, being a Sheep, I had a choice between horse, rabbit  and something else (I forgot what it was, sorry).  I already have a horse charm from last year so I picked the rabbit.  Anyway, the charms are extremely cheap - HK$5!!!!  And I've been buying my lucky charms after every Chinese New Year now for 2 years, so far so good.  Call me superstitious but I believe in stuff like that.

Moving on, this very friendly lady was also selling gold plated, very vintage fashion jewellery for HK$10 each.  That's CHEAP!!!  I'd say about US$1.30?  Something like that.  So I bought 2 very pretty pieces:

One's a very cute diamante frog on a gold chain and the other is a chunky gold plated statement piece with white laquer details.  Perfect for a simple black dress or giving your casual look that extra vavavoom.

So you see, you don't have to spend a fortune on stuff just to be stylish.  You just have to know where to look.  I, for one, do not believe in spending hundreds of dollars because 1, I don't have money and 2, I don't have money.  Shoes though, are an exception to that philosophy.

HK$10 each for the necklaces and HK$25 for the sexy leopard cushion.  I love it!  Also spent HK$20 on the lottery quick pick, and I only got 2 numbers.  Boo!

Update:

Just bought 2 new scarves at HK$10 each.  I can never resist a good bargain.  These are really pretty and the material is so light and airy, perfect for summer.

As evident, I have a sub-conscious addiction to leopard and zebra prints. =)  Have a nice day everyone.
